In this gonzo post-apocalyptic campaign, you live in a small village surrounded by a world of science and sorcery. Strange creatures wander the forests where you live, and stranger soldiers go to war against each other as you try to maintain your freedom and survive from day to day. Mutant animal, plant, or person, it’s your time to explore the world around you, seeking out ancient artifacts and technology – and perhaps find a way to free your people from the tyranny of the Sorceror-Commanders. Inspired by Thundarr, Metamorphosis Alpha, and Gamma World, can be run using Ashes Without Number, FATE, or any of a number of other systems, old and new.
Concepts: How the apocalypse happened has been forgotten, though most suspect it was the doing of a rogue Sorceror-Commander. Since then, your people have lost the knowledge of how to make and maintain the advanced technology they once had – but that doesn’t mean it’s useless. Indeed, staying free will likely require ancient technology beyond anything you’ve seen before, strong enough to stand against the Commanders. And the only way to get that is to go out and find it, searching your world beneath the steel sky.
Systems: Ashes Without Number, Gamma World 4th Edition, Mutant Year Zero, After the Bomb, and others.
